If you are interested in Italian wines, our dear friends are hosting a wine week in Montefollonico, a tiny medieval village located in southern Tuscany.

This is an opportunity to be a part of an intimate group that will make expertly-led visits to local wineries in the denominations of Montepulciano, Montalcino, the Val d’Orcia, and the renowned Chianti Classico. This very special week will combine all the best elements of Italian life: you will live in a real Italian village and see the community going about its daily life; eat in restaurants where Italians eat; and discover some of Tuscany’s most breathtaking scenery, all as a backdrop to tasting Tuscan wines. We are closing in on the Jack Hart House renovatio

We are closing in on the Jack Hart House renovations. Jamie Gibson is pictured below beginning the paint layering process to match the kitchen cabinets with the color of an original cupboard we found in the house. Soapstone is on the kitchen cabinets, and Carrera marble is on the bathroom cabinets.

The drone shot, courtesy of Lucian Dearborn, shows the house with a new fence and a new driveway. Landscaping will be the finishing touch on the outside. We are hoping for a May opening date and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Tickets are $100 per person, which includes admittance to the Kentucky Derby-themed brunch and a built-in donation. Guests will enjoy party favors, historical stories and videos about Sportsman's Hill, replays of famous Derby races, a mixology experience, and a book signing with Dr. Mel Hankla, author of "Into the Bluegrass."
